Flo's V8 Cafe in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure is getting a major tune-up. The beloved Route 66-inspired diner will debut an entirely revamped menu on January 20, 2026, featuring creative new dishes that mark the restaurant's most significant culinary refresh since Cars Land opened in 2012.

The Flo's overhaul is the centerpiece of a broader Disneyland Resort food initiative that introduces more than 100 new and returning items across both theme parks, timed to coincide with the ongoing Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary celebration running through August 2026.

What's New at Flo's V8 Cafe

The refreshed menu trades the restaurant's sometimes-criticized standard fare for more adventurous offerings that play on automotive themes while delivering elevated comfort food:

New Entrees:

  • "Big Dipper" Cheeseburger: Beef patty with American cheese, bread and butter pickles, and caramelized onions on a toasted bun, served with pepperoncini cheese sauce for dipping

  • Winner's Circle Chicken and Waffle: Crispy, golden-fried chicken with buttermilk waffle, whipped butter, and maple syrup

  • Ka-Cheeseburger: Beef patty with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and bread and butter pickles on a toasted bun

  • "Fast Track" Loaded Fries: Topped with chili, pepperoncini cheese sauce, sliced pepperoncini, and diced onions

New Salads (including plant-based options):

  • Fillmore Groovy Greens: Romaine and kale with bean and corn salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, crispy quinoa, toasted sunflower seeds, and zesty dressing (plant-based)

  • Fillmore Groovy Greens with Crispy Chicken Fenders: The salad above with added crispy chicken

New Beverages:

  • Joffrey's Shakin' Jamaican Cold Brew: A fan-favorite returning to the menu

  • "Start Your Engine" Cold Brew: Shakin' Jamaican with caramel syrup, caramel cream, and caramel drizzle

  • Flo's Classic Shakes: Vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry topped with "road gravel" (chocolate pieces)

Mobile ordering will be available for the new menu, making it easier for guests to grab their food and enjoy it at Flo's scenic outdoor seating area overlooking Radiator Springs Racers.

Beyond Flo's: Resort-Wide Updates

The January food rollout extends well beyond Cars Land. Starting January 8, guests can find new offerings across Disneyland Resort, including:

70th Anniversary Treats:

  • Strawberry Shortcake Macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe

  • Mickey-shaped Cinnamon Roll Macaron

  • Watermelon Cotton Candy in commemorative 70th Anniversary bags

  • New Jiminy Cricket Sipper (available starting in late January)

Main Street, U.S.A.:

  • Rum Punch at select locations

  • Lemon Chiffon Tea (non-alcoholic)

  • Blueberry Lemonade

New Plant-Based Options: The rollout includes twelve new plant-based items across the resort, reflecting Disney's continued expansion of dietary options for guests.

A Return to Form?

For longtime Disneyland visitors, the Flo's menu refresh may signal a return to the restaurant's former glory. When Cars Land opened, Flo's V8 Cafe was widely considered one of the best counter service restaurants in all of Disneyland Resort, offering quality comfort food in an immersive atmosphere.

Over the years, menu changes drew criticism from fans who felt the offerings had become less inspired. The new menu's creative touches—like the dipable cheeseburger and loaded fries—suggest Disney is investing in making Flo's a culinary destination once again, not just a convenient pit stop.

Lunar New Year and Beyond

The food updates continue beyond January. Lunar New Year celebrations begin January 23, 2026, bringing additional seasonal offerings and returning fan favorites. Downtown Disney also continues its expansion, with Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant and a Porto's Bakery location under construction.

For guests planning visits during the 70th Anniversary celebration's final months, the breadth of new culinary options provides plenty of reasons to explore beyond familiar favorites.
